Its All Kicking Off At Digg.com

A great story is happening over at digg.com. Users of the popular website digg.com were shall we say a little annoyed when one of the stories someone put on the site made it to the front page. The difference between this and any other story is that this one was a code, or processing key used by HD-DVD. Basically what this key enables people to do is copy all the HD-DVD disks so far and probably in the future as well. For anyone interested this key is: 09-F9-11-02-9D-74-E3-5B-D8-41-56-C5-63-56-88-C0. HD-DVD is a sponsor of Digg and naturally wanted the story removed from the site except people kept on resubmitting it so Digg could not keep up with taking them off and ended up stopping any more stories from being submitted!
To be fair I dont blame them as I would not want a big sponsor to pull out and lose all that revenue. There really are some clever people doing some clever things, without piracy loads of bands would not have been able to make their budget bedroom recordings, or people develop new websites.
