Wal-Mart To Sell Dell Desktop Computers
May 24th, 2007 by Martin
I have just been reading this article at Wal-Mart facts.com that Wal-Mart are going to start selling Dell computers starting June 10th 2007. To start off with 2 products will be being sold to over 3,500 stores across the US, Canada and and Puerto Rico.
In my opinion this is going to be a good partnership as Dell are well known for not having any shops so you have to buy online. This saves Dell lot’s of money on stuff like electricity, Gas, staff wages to keep overheads to a minimum and therefore give better prices to us, the consumer. Teaming up with Wal-Mart (I keep wanting to say ASDA) will enable Dell to keep this money saving formula and flog loads more computers.
Apparently Wal-Mart are concentrating on increasing the electronic section by teaming up with some big branded products. This should be interesting, if this becomes very successful no doubt the other big supermarkets will want a share of the pie and team up with some big brands which I’m hoping will lead to even lower prices as the supermarkets try to out do each other to win business in the ever growing electronics sector.
I wonder if they will come preinstalled with XP or Vista?
