Title tags are a very important part of SEO. A well constructed title tag is needed along with keyword research so you can write a title tag around keywords that can drive high amounts of traffic to your site. When you first start out on the net your not going to rank for much, if anything apart from your blog name which is a problem so you have to go after long tail terms.
