Why Top Make Money Online Bloggers Have Crap Blogs
Jan 4th, 2008 by Martin
I’m writing this after having a good read on various different blogs around the internet as a catchup really as I haven’t been reading much these past few weeks.
Why Top Blogs Are Crap
I was really dissapointed with content produced by many “top bloggers” which was a waste of time I won’t name names unless you want me to, but i’m sure you can work out which are rubbish yourselves!
I think they are crap as they trade on reputation, so are less willing to try new strategies and ideas, think of new ways to get on top of the search engines and are generally less innovative! They also have loads of wannabe’s kissing their ass all the time hoping that they will teach them a magic way to make money. The time that it takes you to read all of your RSS feeds you could have written some quality content for your site, or setup a new project.
Top bloggers will not share techniques that make them the most money as everyone will be doing it. If you want some proper advice try going to some smaller blogs that are more likely to provide some useful ways of making money.
One of the best articles I read was done by Court on Keyword Sniping check it out. Once you have read the article don’t think that was a good article then go and read another blog or article. Buy a domain and impliment the knowledge you have learn’t, to many people spend far to much time reading and not enough time doing.
You’re definitely right about most of the “big boys” having crappy blogs. When I first got started in blogging and I started hearing about the big names I was really excited to check out what they had to say and see what they were doing… With a few exceptions, it didn’t take long to see that they were doing a whole lot of nothing. It really made me wonder how they got to be so popular. I still wonder that about most of them.
Courtney Tuttle’s keyword sniping article does seem like the real deal. It’s pretty exciting to think about, but I’m sure most people will never actually bother to implement the things he outlines so he’s probably not worried about competition.
I agree Jason, many top bloggers trade off their names and from results they have had in the past. I think the big players provide inspiration to other bloggers and that’s great but in my opinion all most of them have to give.
I think most blogs are too much yada yada. Who has time to read all those long blog posts. I try to change that with my internet marketing site. You can learn something within a minute.
There has been very little mention of a easy way of generating revenue from Blog/website real estate.
CPA should bring a new model in on-line advertising
I would say that that is pretty true. You know I think that they get so focused on them making money online, that they forget to share with us how they do it, which a lot of times is why they got so popular from sharing these tips. But some of the big bloggers have a lot of great information that I have found pretty valuable, I guess it depends on the blogger.
